Methodology

Data was collected in February 2020 via a third-party consumer panel provider and demographic quotas were set for the data collection. We aimed for national representation in terms of gender, a skew towards younger age groups to represent the vaping population, and a balanced geographical distribution to represent all regions equally. We did not pre-target for any consumer type, respondents were registered on natural fallout if qualified in the filter questions. We accepted respondents if they:

  • – used e-cigarettes at least once a month
  • – used an open system e-cig at least once a month
  • – were over 18 years old
  • – were currently living in the UK.
