Public health professor brands Taipei’s
e-cigarette ban ‘unfair’ and ‘senseless’

A new blanket ban in Taiwan’s capital on the sale and import of e-cigarettes and heated tobacco products is heavy-handed and risks being self-contradictory, an expert says.

Taipei City has recently become the latest addition to a list of ten counties or regions in the island state officially known as the Republic of China to ban the production, import, sale, supply, display and advertising of alternative tobacco products, as well as the use of such products in non-smoking areas or within 50 m of a school.
