Taiwan’s policy towards e-cigarettes, with or without nicotine, has historically been among the strictest in the world. In 2016, vaping products were already perceived to be a public health threat rather than an opportunity, and consequently all types of e-cigarettes are banned, regardless of nicotine presence.
This report provides a comprehensive overview of how e-cigarettes are regulated in Taiwan on both a national and regional level, covering national legislation as well as local ordinances.
