‘Trump did right hiring Gottlieb to lead FDA,’ say Washington watchers

For once, Democrats and Republicans are in agreement: President Donald Trump was right to hire Scott Gottlieb to lead the US FDA. Politicians and policymakers reacted to Gottlieb’s resignation announcement on 5th March.

While Gottlieb saw some value in e-cigarettes, there were other occasions when the commissioner threatened the industry with changing the application deadline, and pulling flavoured vapes off  the market.
