UK ASA rules against Alfabar billboard featuring toy-like vape with glowing eyes

Calling attention to light-up features on a vaping device is not permitted in UK advertising, according to the latest e-cigarette ruling from the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA).

The ASA’s most recent vape ruling is on a billboard for a disposable vaping device from Alfabar “styled to look like alien heads, each with green luminescent eyes”. An arrow in the ad points to the eyes, with the accompanying text: “LED light effect eyes”.
