FDA attorneys, health professionals, scientists and vape industry stakeholders will gather in Washington, DC next week to debate legal developments in the international vaping sector.

The E-Vapor Law Symposium hosted by law firm Keller and Heckman, held 2nd-3rd February, will feature expert speakers on topics such as the Food and Drug Administration’s requirements for health document submissions, ingredient reporting, and HPHC testing.

Aimed at manufacturers, distributors and vape shops, the E-Vapor Law Symposium has 16 speakers in the line-up so far.

They include partners Eric Gotting and Bob Niemann from Keller and Heckman, giving an update on the Right to be Smoke-Free Coalition and Nicopure cases with the FDA as well as the Legato vs Indiana case.

Paul Blair from Americans for Tax Reform will provide an overview of state laws and taxes for 2017, while Nerudia’s Paul Marshall will cover medical licensing requirements for nicotine products in the European Union’s Tobacco Products Directive (TPD).

The legal status of cannabidiol (CBD) will also be addressed, with Christopher Van Gundy of Keller and Heckman giving a presentation on the use of cannabis in e-liquids, its legal status, and FDA regulation in that area.
