Canadian e-cig industry ready to fight ‘existential threat’ of federal flavour ban

Leaders of Canada’s vaping industry are preparing to challenge a federal government proposal to restrict flavoured e-cigarette products which they fear would devastate the industry in the country.

While the Canadian government has yet to unveil its final regulations, the Canadian Vaping Association (CVA) is already poised to fight them.

Executive director Darryl Tempest said the association would prefer a legislative solution but plans to file a court challenge to any flavour restrictions within days should the government go ahead with its proposal.
