Denmark: e-cigarette regulation, October 2024

Denmark has one of the most burdensome regulatory frameworks for e-cigarette products in the European Union.

Flavours other than tobacco and menthol are prohibited in e-liquids regardless of nicotine presence.

Taxes are levied on nicotine e-liquids based on nicotine content.

Authorities have been heavily enforcing the flavour ban, especially on disposables, which is expected to continue throughout 2024.

This report details the regulatory framework for e-cigarette products in Denmark, including age, product, packaging and advertising restrictions, public usage, notification requirements, taxation and sanctions.
