Njoy sues 34 vape companies over illegal flavoured sales in a US federal case

Njoy is taking market regulation into its own hands through a US federal lawsuit that accuses 34 manufacturers of illegally selling disposable flavoured vaping devices in California and under federal law.

The lawsuit is an unusually broad effort by a private company to rein in competitors through an injunction that would bar the import, marketing and sale of the products in the US. It also seeks compensatory and punitive damages described as “significant” in a press release from Altria Group, Njoy’s parent company.
