New York City is taking legal action to try to stop Magellan Technology and three other companies from selling flavoured e-cigarettes, accusing them of violating “nearly every law” related to the marketing, distribution and sale of the products.
The lawsuit asks a federal judge to bar Magellan – which sells devices under the trade name Hyde – Ecto World, Star Vape, and Mahant Krupa 56 from selling “flavored disposable vaping devices” in the city. It also seeks a large amount of money in damages “to be determined at trial”.
