Sweden’s parliament, the Riksdag, has rejected a government proposal to ban flavoured e-liquids and nicotine products, citing a lack of evidence of potential harm from such additives.
The full parliament accepted a recommendation by the Social Affairs Committee that the flavour ban be dropped from a bill on Stricter rules for new nicotine products.
The modified bill was passed yesterday, toughening restrictions on the advertising and marketing of tobacco-free nicotine products.
