Juul’s Labs and its former investor Altria have reached a settlement with the US state of Minnesota over Juul’s alleged deceptive marketing of e-cigarettes and supposed role in encouraging youth vaping.
The out-of-court settlement – the terms of which have not yet been made public – brings to an end a three-week trial and comes less than a week after Juul agreed to pay $462m to settle lawsuits with six other states and Washington DC.
