New Swiss laws to increase e-cig taxes, with disposables higher than reusables

Swiss authorities continue to work to modify tobacco and vaping laws and regulations in the country.

The Swiss Federal Council is currently preparing a preliminary draft to amend the Tobacco Products Act which is expected to be submitted to Parliament in the first half of 2023. The amendment and an ordinance bringing in a comprehensive ban on tobacco advertising are expected to come into force at the beginning of 2024.
