New product enables legal e-liquid sampling in the US

A US advocacy and consulting group believes it has come up with a product that enables consumers to sample e-liquid and still conform to the US Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA’s) sampling restrictions. The Cating Group launched its “Sample Sticks” in December last year.

EU’s safety agency gets on board with guidelines for lithium batteries

As the debate on the safety of lithium batteries continues, the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has published guidelines and recommendations about the carriage of e-cig batteries on flights.

The agency of the European Union with regulatory and executive tasks in the field of civilian aviation safety published a Safety Information Bulletin (SIB) to inform both airlines and passengers of a safe way to carry their lithium batteries, including those used for e-cigarettes.

Shake and vape products represent almost third of Italian online market

Mexico: a new bid to legalise e-cigs

The PRI party’s Senator Marcela Guerra Castillo has presented a new bill to legalise e-cigarettes in Mexico, in response to their continuing popularity. It is a bid to control the quality of products on the market. The bill legalises nicotine alternatives and establishes a level playing field for tobacco, heat-not-burn and vaping products. It takes a cautionary approach to their impact on health and introduces requirements above and beyond those of the EU’s Tobacco Products Directive (TPD).
