It has been illegal in Australia to sell nicotine-containing vapes to anyone without a doctor’s prescription as of October 2021. But since then there has been only a very small increase in the amount of vapers who have got a prescription.
According to Wayne Hall, a professor at the National Centre for Youth Substance Use Research at the University of Queensland, the changes that came into effect two and a half years ago have seen the percentage of vapers with a prescription rise from 8% to to just 10%
