New Zealand takes a less strict approach towards rising vaping rates among youth

New Zealand is trying to balance keeping smoking-cessation rates up and vaping from climbing, especially among young people.

A spokesperson for the New Zealand Ministry of Health said vaping had played a big role in smoking cessation over the last decade, and told ECigIntelligence that the daily smoking rate in the country is now 8%, which is “a big drop from 14.5% about seven years ago”.
