US state-by-state regulation of synthetic nicotine

Synthetic nicotine products are not specifically regulated as such in any US state.

In a number of states, they are included within an alternative regulatory framework for nicotine products or alternative nicotine products. Regulatory frameworks for alternative nicotine products do not always include all regulatory areas like tobacco products or e-cigarettes do, mostly establishing a basic legal framework focused on youth access.

This report looks at individual state regulation for such products.
